Mt. Bierstadt 14er Meetup

It’s time for the fifth and final installment of our 14er Summer Meetup Series, Mt. Bierstadt!  As always, we’ll have group camping the night prior. Mountain Hardwear, our title sponsor will be providing tents for the first 15 people that make a reservation. Just show up and you’re tent is all set up! Schedule Overview

Thursday, September 29th @ 6pm – Quick Q&A and hike overview at Feral Mountain Co. for anyone that wants details on what to expect and what to pack. We’ll also have a live facebook feed of this Q&A.

Saturday, October 1st @ 5pm – Group camping near the Mt. Bierstadt trailhead in Guanella Pass, with gear testing and some other surprises. Arrive anytime after 5pm. Google Maps camping location: https://goo.gl/maps/F8cfzXmrB1z

Sunday, October 2nd @ 6am – Meet at the  trailhead to begin hike. We will be hiking the standard Mt. Bierstadt route from Guanella Pass. Round trip distance is approximately 7 miles with 2,800 ft. of elevation gain.

 

Logistics/Directions

Camping:

We are camping in Guanella Pass, a couple miles from the trailhead. Campsite Google Maps location LINK.

We will also have FANTASTIC gear giveaways, beer, and lots of food. Join us!

 

Hike:

We will be hiking Mt. Bierstadt along the standard route from Guanella Pass. The roundtrip distance is approximately 7 miles with an elevation gain of around 2,800′.

Important reminder: This is event is a social meetup, and not a guided or outfitted hike. Everyone should arrive with their own respective plan for the hike. There is no safety nor service implied. Just a bunch of friends getting together to hike a mountain. All participants are responsible for their own gear, supplies, food safety, and the safety of their party.
